Furphy Furniture Adds to Major Park Refurbishment

The township of Miriam Vale is benefiting from the recent $4 million rejuvenation of a prominent public park, complete with several pieces of Furphy Foundry park furniture installed.

With Alf Larson Park located near the Bruce Highway, the eye-catching infrastructure is designed to not only attract locals, but to lure passing motorists to stop and enjoy a short stop in this proud historical Queensland town, located about halfway between Bundaberg and Gladstone.

In preparing for the project, Furphy Foundry worked closely with the Gladstone Regional Council and local design company to ensure the park furniture selected complimented the overall design of the park, which reflected on the heritage of the Miriam Vale area.

Five Fulcrum Picnic Settings with disability access at both ends were installed throughout the park, together with eight Fulcrum Benches.

The appeal of the Fulcrum Range is the harmonious combination of oiled and treated hardwood timber slats, supported by crafted powder coated aluminium cast frames.

Residents were awe-struck at the vast improvement of the park’s facilities, and look forward to using the park themselves, and to more passing motorists taking advantage of the park’s facilities and local stores. The park boasts a new car park which includes spaces to accommodate buses and cars towing caravans.
